NY Giants vs.
Dallas Cowboys point spread
We will open our Sunday NFL games
preview with a matchup quickly becoming the most bet on event on
the odds makers' sheets - the NY Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys
football game. The NY Giants (11-2) have already delivered
against the Dallas Cowboys (8-5) on Nov. 2nd, when the Cowboys
lost 35-14 at home, but on Sunday the 'Boys will get one more
shot at the Giants and from the look of it - they may be the
favorite, despite their long list of injuries. With the 11-2
record, the Giants have secured at least playoff participation
and a victory over the Cowboys would clinch the NFC East title.
Meanwhile Dallas, currently second on the NFC East Standings,
need to win the game in order to breath easier, although their
final season game will be against the 7-5 Eagles.
But let's go ahead and take a look at
the point spread and betting odds on the Giants vs. Cowboys
football game on Sunday, as posted by the online sportsbook
Bookmaker. The bookie has
listed the Cowboys as the favorite team to win the game, sitting
on odds -150, while the Giants will be underdog for a first time
in a long time, they are holding odds +130 to beat the Cowboys
in NFL Week 15. The NY Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys point spread
is currently at -3 points chalk the Cowboys with the total
expected by the odds makers at 45.5 points. Keep in mind,
however, that bettors are currently overwhelmingly taking the
Giants over the Cowboys so we can see a big move in the odds and
point spread by the end of the week, preceding the football
game. And for those bettors who look at the trends - the NY
Giants are 7-1 against the spread in their last 8 games and
Dallas is 4-2 against the spread in its last 6 games. Note,
however, that the Cowboys are 2-7-1 against the spread in their
last 10 games when playing the Giants. Also, the total has gone
UNDER in 10 of Dallas's last 14 games when playing at home
against NY Giants.
No doubt injuries will play a pivot role
in this Sunday NFL game. The Giants seem to be in a better
situation, injury-wise, with only linebacker Jonathan Goff, wide
receiver Domenik Hixon and running back Brandon Jacobs missing
Thursday practice, while Giants' running back Ahmad Bradshaw and
cornerback Aaron Ross doing a full one. The Dallas Cowboys, on
the other side, have much more to worry about: cornerback Adam "Pacman"
Jones is out for NFL Week 15 with neck injury and running back
Marion Barber, wide receiver Roy Williams, along with safeties
Keith Davis and Ken Hamlin missed Thursday practice. Cowboys
wide receiver Miles Austin and tight end Jason Witten did a
limited one, however, silver lining comes out of the full
Thursday practice done by the three linebackers Bradie James,
Justin Rogers and DeMarcus Ware.
