Dallas Cowboys vs.
Philadelphia Eagles: Point spread and odds
We begin our final NFL regular season week preview with
the football game Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles, taking
a look at the current point spread and betting odds offered by
the sportsbooks. This NFC East battle remains important for
playoff participation - the Dallas Cowboys (9-6) must win the
game to snatch the last wild card, while the Philadelphia Eagles
(8-5-1) are still in the chase, although they will need not only
a victory over the Cowboys on Sunday, but some help in the
earlier games, as well. And with both the Eagles and the Cowboys
coming out of losing games, the Sunday match-up between the two
NFL franchises is bound to attract heavy betting action.
Looking at the odds and point spread on
the Cowboys vs. Eagles game at the online sports betting website
Bookmaker, we find the
Philadelphia Eagles a small favorite to win with odds -125,
while the Cowboys will come out on Lincoln Financial Field as
underdog with odds +105 for a victory Sunday. The Dallas
Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles point spread is currently
sitting at -1.5 points chalk the Eagles with the total expected
by the sportsbook at 43 points even. Keep in mind that Dallas is
4-2 against the spread in its last 6 games, but only 1-4 against
the spread in its last 5 games on the road. Meanwhile
Philadelphia is 5-2 against the spread in its last 7 games at
home and the Eagles are 4-1 against the spread in their last 5
games when playing the Cowboys.
Question mark remains over Cowboys star
quarterback Tony Romo, who missed Wednesday practice due to
illness, along with tight end Jason Witten, who is nursing ankle
injury. Dallas running back Marion Barber, linebacker Bobby
Carpenter, and safeties Keith Davis and Ken Hamlin all had a
limited Wednesday practice, but wide receivers Isaiah Stanback
and Roy Williams did a full one. In Philadelphia defensive end
Victor Abiamiri is out for the final week of regular season
football, along with guard Shawn Andrews, while linebacker
Stewart Bradley, tight end L.J. Smith and running back Brian
Westbrook missed practice yesterday. Limited practice for the
Eagles had wide receivers Hank Baskett and Kevin Curtis, but
wide receiver Greg Lewis had a full one and is expected to be in
top shape for the Cowboys vs. Eagles football game, recovered
from knee injury.
