The Spanish land-based casino Grand Madrid has signed a deal with online gambling operator PlayTech for a license to run the company's online casino and poker platforms. The Casino Grand Madrid is one of the regulated casinos in Spain and reports today came that PlayTech, developer and provider of online gambling software, has signed a licensing deal to run the Grand Madrid online casino and poker on the web. "We expect this to be a significantly value accretive relationship, exemplifying our strategy to increase the number of regulated markets in which we operate," Playtech's CEO was quoted commenting on the new online casino deal.

Casino Grand Madrid announced that along with the license, the new online casino and poker platforms powered by PlayTech will be custom tailored to its customers in the Spanish market in order to provide better integration between the land-based and online gambling products. This online casino deal is much welcomed by the online gambling developer as the Big Three are fighting for every licensing deal they can get in Europe while the Union slowly opens up to the online casino gambling market.
