NCAA Final odds:
Michigan State vs. North Carolina odds on Championship
After
a month full of college basketball, we are now just a day away
from the NCAA Basketball Tournament final game, the Championship
game Michigan State vs. North Carolina, time to look at the
betting odds offered by the sportsbooks. Last night was the
Final Four battle, which results in an upset and a game that
went by the book. Michigan State, one of the underdogs of the
NCAA Tournament Final Four managed to pull through the stalemate
of the first half and took the lead on the UConn to hold it to
the very end in front of 70+ thousand, most of whom took the
short drive from East Lansing to see the Spartans secure a spot
at the NCAA Basketball Championship game.
Now those who bet on the Michigan State
to win the NCAA Championship are just one step away from an
enormous payout - the Spartans held odds +645 before the game
with UConn. But before those bets are graded as winners, the
Spartans will have to meet and beat the 2009 NCAA Tournament
odds favorite - the North Carolina Tar Heels. North Carolina had
little trouble covering odds and spreads last night when they
faced Villanova, the underdog of the Final Four. And even though
references to their Cinderella year were more than abundant,
83-69 final score shattered the dreams of Villanova to try and
make history once more.
And after checking the NCAA Final odds
at the online sports betting websites, Michigan State is also a
big underdog to make history on Monday. At the online sportsbook
Bookmaker, the NCAA
Championship Final game has the North Carolina Tar Heels as -350
odds-on favorite to win the 2009 NCAA Basketball Tournament
Championship, while the Michigan State Spartans are holding on
long odds +290 to take the championship title to East Lansing.
The Michigan State vs. North Carolina point spread is set at -7
points chalk the Tar Heels and the total is at 152 points.
Meanwhile at another popular online sportsbook,
BodogLife, the point spread on
the NCAA Final is at -7.5 points chalk North Carolina and this
offshore sportsbook is expecting a total of 153 points. Keep in
mind that Michigan State is 2-5 against the spread in its last 7
games when playing North Carolina, but North Carolina is 5-2 SU
in its last 7 games when playing Michigan State, winning the
last game on December 3rd 98-63. North Carolina is also the
second highest scoring team in the league at 89.8 points per
game and second in rebounds in the league at 39.2.
The NCAA Championship Final game will
start on Monday, April 6th, at 9:15pm EST from Ford Field in
Detroit. Check your local listings for broadcasting channels and
availability.
