American Idol odds: After MacIntyre's elimination Lambert still fav

The American Idol is now down to just seven contenders for fame and fortune, after Scott MacIntyre was voted off last night from the American Idol. The 23-year-old Arizona Idol was eliminated from the competition after the judges couldn't agree on using their once-a-season veto and overturn the votes to keep the legally blind American Idol contestant on the show. After the elimination of Scott MacIntyre last night from American Idol, now were are down to just seven contestants and it's time to check with the updated odds on who will win this season of American Idol.

At the online sportsbook BodogLife, Adam Lambert remains the top favorite, listed with odds 1/2 to win, i.e. people will have to bet $100 to win just $50. Clearly a big lead over the second favorite, Danny Gokey, who is sitting on betting odds 3/1 to win the show, i.e. bettors will win $300 on a $100 bet - obviously the odds makers are seeing Lambert as unstoppable. Allison Iraheta comes third on the odds sheets with 9/1 chance to win the 2009 American Idol, while Matt Giraud and Kris Allen share odds of 15/1 on a victory. Lil Rounds has odds 30/1 to win the American Idol and the underdog of the seven is Anoop Desai with long odds 65/1, which also means he has the best chance to be eliminated next from the American Idol.
