135th Kentucky
Derby: Odds slashed for I Want Revenge
For those keeping up with the 2009
Kentucky Derby and the odds on the contenders - we have a slash
in the odds on "I Want Revenge". The thoroughbred, still the
odds-on favorite to win this year's Kentucky Derby, has received
shorter odds by the popular online sportsbook
Bodog. The odds on "I Want
Revenge" to win the Derby have been cut to 7/2 at the offshore
sportsbook, still leading on his competitors by twice the odds.
Following "I Want Revenge" at Bodog is
now "Quality Road" sitting on 5/1 to win the 2009 Kentucky
Derby, which is set to start in a little over a week. Meanwhile
Dunkirk has been snubbed by the bettors and his odds were
adjusted from previous 5/1 to 11/2 to win the Kentucky Derby
next month. Pioneer of the Nile is still holding on to his
previous 6/1 odds, but Friesan Fire is now 13/2, another victim
of the adjustments in the Kentucky Derby odds. These results
were hardly unexpected, as we have warned bettors since the
first time odds on the 2009 Kentucky Derby were posted - you
must lock the number early, especially on the favorites. Keep in
mind that the more people bet on a contender for the Run of the
Roses, the shorter his odds to win will become. If you are
eyeing any of the top two horses, now is the time to bet on the
Kentucky Derby winner. Visit
Bodog Sports for the full list
of the 2009 Kentucky Derby odds, as well as to sign up and get
10% on every deposit you make with this famous sportsbook.
