2007 Kentucky Derby - Odds Changed, Curlin still
Favorite
The odds for the Kentucky
Derby starting on Saturday have changed, but Curlin (#2) is
still the favorite.
The betting odds for the
3-years-old horse have changed from 3/1 to 9/5, reports the
online betting provider
Bodog Horse Racing. Odds for
winning the Kentucky Derby have also changed for Street Sense,
going at 9/2 from previously paying 6/1. It does appear that the
bookmakers have chosen their favorites for the Derby race on the
5th. A bet on Sedgefield to win the 2007 Kentucky Derby would
now pay you $70 for every $1 you wager instead of the
yesterday's future betting odds of 100/1.
Some risk may e justified,
considering last year's bettors who took a risk and counted on
Barbaro to win the Kentucky Derby were paid $14.20 on a $2
wager.
