FA Cup: Chelsea vs. Manchester United odds
After the latest clash between the U.K.
football giants last Wednesday one thing became clear -
everything could happen on the FA Cup final.
Of course, the bookmakers in the U.K. did
adjust the odds accordingly. We compared the betting odds of
some British online bookmakers, and
Bet365 (official website new window) seems to have the
sweetest deal. For the FA Cup final on the 19th, both Manchester
United and Chelsea have odds to win of 2.62 with coefficient of 3.00
for a draw. Bet365 also offers up to
£100 for first time clients, and there you can bet on the FA Cup
final from almost any country in Europe, not just in the UK.
But who will win the FA Cup?
Chelsea's boss Jose Mourinho has ruled out the
German midfielder Michael Ballack and the defender Ricardo
Carvalho for the final. Ballack, although back in training from
his ankle surgery, is still not ready to play in a game of this
magnitude. Carvalho injured medial ligaments of his right knee
and will be out for a while. There are rumours going around that
Ballack went on with surgery against the club's wishes, and this
caused a break up in the relations between him and Mourinho.
Either way, both players are 100% out of the FA Cup final. But
this is not all for Chelsea - Didier Drogba is struggling with
an ankle injury, and Scott Sinclair has a broken foot.
Shevchenko will also be out for the FA Cup final due to hernia
surgery.
Manchester United seems to be in a slightly
better position. Despite the exhaustion from the UEFA games and
the Premiership, the Red Devils had a chance to catch their
breath after securing the Premiership title two games before the
season. Sir Alex Ferguson left a lot of stars on the bench for
the lost from West Ham (0-1) today and they should be in perfect
physical form for the FA Cup final game. Saha and Gary Neville
are under question for the game, however, and Ji-Sung Park is
out for the rest of the season.
