AC Milan and Liverpool prep for the Champions
League
Two years ago AC-Milan and Liverpool met for
the Champions League, and that final left a bitter taste for the
Rossoneri.
Tomorrow
night in Athens the final for the Champions League starts, and
there is plenty to drive both teams to the max.
The odds for Liverpool to win the Champions
League are 3.60 and 2.37 for Milan. Odds provided by Bet365.
Ditmar Haman, the Germany national who was
with Liverpool when they won the Champions League in 2005 is
confident that his ex-teammates will be able to repeat that
achievement. According to Haman, it's all about the spirit, and
Liverpool FC has plenty of it.
Rafael Benitez, the manager of Liverpool, is
not expecting an easy game. The Spanish manager admits that it
will be very hard to beat AC Milan this time around, but he bets
on his team's experience since 2005 to help them overcome the
well-organized Italian team.
Eight of the AC Milan 2005 Champions League
final will be present on the field tomorrow. Carlo Ancelotti is
still uncertain about the health of Paolo Maldini, and is still
debating over letting Alberto Gilardino, who works better with
the team, or Filippo Inzaghi, who scores more goals for Milan.
The 38-year-old Maldini, who decided not to
retire and play one more season, states that AC Milan are in
better form entering the Champions League Final game.
At the end, it's anyone's guess who the next
Champions League winner will be.
