Dancing With the Stars winner is Ohno
Anton Ohno, the two time Olympic gold medalist
and his partner Julianne Hough won the Dancing With the Stars
title yesterday.
If
you were too busy watching the American Idol, you missed a great
dance finale. Ohno-Hough beat Joey Fatone, formerly from N-Sync
in the ABC dance competition. Fatone, although the showman of
Dancing With the Stars, was no match to the 25-year-old Ohno.
Laila Ali, daughter of the great boxer
Muhammad Ali, and a stinger herself, and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
were voted off in the middle of the show, getting very low total
scores both from judges and fans. All three participants however
earned a perfect score during the finale.
The bookmakers were right again. The odds on
who will win the Dancing With the Stars were as follows: Apolo
Anton Ohno - 2/3, Joey Fatone - 3/2 and Laila Ali had odds of
5/2.
The way Dancing With the Stars work is - none
of the competitors are professional dancers, but they team with
one, learn to dance on the spot, and the show is on. This was
the fourth edition of the dance competition and each episode
this season has drawn over 16 million viewers world wide.
