Jethro Bodine's
Beverly Hillbillies Casino & Mansion planned
The former star of "The Beverly Hillbillies",
Max Baer Jr., who played Jethro Bodine in the sitcom, is
planning a casino in Douglas County, Nevada.
Baer
has already purchased land for $1.2 million, following the sale
of a Wal-Mart building for $8.5 million in the nearby Carson
City. Baer will finish with land purchasing when the zoning for
his casino and its height variances are out. If the casino
is approved, it will be a part of the proposed
56,000-square-metre Riverwood commercial development located
along U.S. Highway 395 just south of Carson City.
The casino plans include 800 slot machines, 16
tables and a five story hotel. Entertainment center will also be
built as part of the casino plan.
