Scripps National Spelling Bee gets odds on winnerThis week, 286 champion spellers will compete in the 2007 Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. The final Championship for the Spelling bee will be held on the 31st between 8pm and 10 pm EST.

The 286 champion spellers, ranging in age from 10- to 15-years-old, will be competing for the Scripps National Spelling Bee Championship, which will be determined during the semifinal and championship rounds of the competition Thursday, May 31. The spellers have qualified to compete in the national competition by winning locally sponsored spelling bees in their home communities.
 

The online website Bookmaker (new window) offers gender betting for now and the British betting site Bet365 offers gender of the Spelling bee winner, as well as the age.
