Scripps National
Spelling Bee gets odds on winner
The next big event in the weird betting
section is by far the 2007 Spelling Bee, which also got props
from bookies all over the world.
This
week, 286 champion spellers will compete in the 2007 Scripps
National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. The final Championship
for the Spelling bee will be held on the 31st between 8pm and 10
pm EST.
The 286 champion spellers, ranging in age from
10- to 15-years-old, will be competing for the Scripps National
Spelling Bee Championship, which will be determined during the
semifinal and championship rounds of the competition Thursday,
May 31. The spellers have qualified to compete in the national
competition by winning locally sponsored spelling bees in their
home communities.
The online website
Bookmaker (new window) offers
gender betting for now and the British betting site
Bet365 offers gender of the
Spelling bee winner, as well as the age.
We do not recommend or encourage that
people should bet on events for children.
Those odds are for entertainment purpose only!
If you bet on this event - you have a gambling problem and
should consult our home page for addiction help lines in your
country.
But for any other bets - we recommend you
