Rafael Nadal wins
against Mardy Fish at Wimbledon
The French Open champion
Rafael Nadal justified the odds and won against Fish to move to
round two of the 2007 Wimbledon.
Rafael
Nadal won his first round at the 2007 Wimbledon 6-3 7-6 (7-4)
6-3 against the American Mardy Fish. Although the strong side of
the Spaniard is clay, Fish gave the French Open winner only
minor troubles. Rafael Nadal, who won a third consecutive Roland
Garros title earlier this month, is looking to follow Bjorn Borg
to win French Open and Wimbledon titles in the same year.
In the second round of the Wimbledon
Rafael Nadal will face Austria's Werner Eschauer.
At the Wimbledon on Wednesday, Round 2,
Andy Roddick will play Danai Udomchoke, and is the ultimate
favorite with odds 1/50. Tim Henman will have tougher time
against Feliciano Lopez, odds on Henman 4/7, Lopez 5/4,
according to the British Internet betting website
Bet365.
