Phil Mickelson and
Angel Cabrera will be at the Scottish Open
The US Open champion
Angel Cabrera and Phil Mickelson will participate in the
Scottish Open at Loch Lomond.
The
World number two Phil Mickelson will take part for the fifth
time, providing her recovers from a wrist injury. "I like to
compete the week before a major. Going to the Scottish Open also
helps me acclimatize. I'm well aware it's an inland course but
I'm sure I'll get the chance to play some links golf around the
event," said Mickelson.
Phil Mickelson missed the cut in the
first round of the U.S. Open at Oakmont, and in addition
suffered a wrist injury. Mickelson's best finish at Loch Lomond
was 7th in 2000.
Angel Cabrera, the winner of the 2007
U.S. Open, will also be at the Loch Lomond. The British Open
warm-up will be Cabrera's first event since winning the US Open.
