A three-team deal is speculated, where Suns would send Shawn Marion to the Celtics, Kevin Garnett would join the Suns and the Timberwolves would pick up a package of players and picks.

Following the news, the online betting website Sportsbook.com has updated their odds on the Kevin Garnett trade. Now the Suns are favorite to attract the player with odds of 1/2, compared with the Los Angeles Lakers 5/2 on snatching Garnet to California.

Los Angeles Times reported on its Web site that a blockbuster trade is being discussed that would solve two of the biggest off-season mysteries at once: the futures of Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett. Long has been rumored that the L.A. Lakers will be the new home for Garnet, but it seems those talks have cooled off. A Garnett-to-the-Lakers blockbuster undoubtedly would overshadow any number of draft-day deals or free-agent signings that are materializing, such as Ohio State center Greg Oden and Texas forward Kevin Durant atop of the NBA Draft list.
