Tim Henman out of
the 2007 Wimbledon
Tim Henman vowed to be
back at the Wimbledon next year, after a dramatic five-set exit.
Henman
lost to Feliciano Lopez 7-6, (7-3), 7-6, (7-5), 3-6, 2-6, 6-1.
Tim Henman was originally scheduled to play his second round
with Lopez yesterday, but rain at the Wimbledon postponed the
match for Thursday. Henman commented after the game:
"I felt like my game, the way I've played, is
not too far off sort of breaking through and getting into the
second week. I think that was probably the objective. I've
played the vast majority of my matches on the show courts and
there's no doubt that plays a part in me wanting to be out there
and cherish those moments. They're very, very special."
