Tiger Woods with
best odds on the AT&T National
Despite the fact that Tiger
Woods just became a father, the bookmakers still have him at the
top of the props.
Tiger
Woods has always been a family man, but the oddsmakers believe
that the recent birth of his daughter would not affect his game
on any level. Woods skipped the Buick Open because of Sam
Alexis, but he is still on the board for the 2007 AT&T National.
The PGA Tournament will start on
Thursday, July 5th at the Congressional Country Club in
Bethesda, MD. And Tiger Woods still tops the 2007 AT&T National
odds list. Woods has the odds on winning at 3/1, according to
Bodog Sports.
Odds like this on Tiger Woods could
eventually fill up the pockets for the bettors. When we compared
the odds of Woods to other golfers starting on Thursday, and Jim
Furyk comes second with odds on winning the AT&T National at
11/1. Phil Mickelson has odds of 14/1. Meaning that Mickelson,
if he wins the AT&T, would pay almost five times more than Tiger
Woods.
Keep in mind that Woods, although
currently the greatest golfer, is also a human. The new member
of his family would likely play a significant role on his
concentration in Bethesda. Enormous pressure would also lay on
his shoulders to prove that he is still as focused on his golf
career as he is on his family.
We believe that a bet on a golfer other
than Tiger Woods is not as risky as it would have been a month
ago.
