Carlos Tevez close
to sign with Manchester United, not there yet
Although Carlos Tevez
needs only a medical to sign with Manchester United, the money
has to
be dispatched first.
The
only thing left for Carlos Tevez is to take a medical exam and
he will be able to sign with United, but first the parties have
to dispatch the money. And that's where the big problem lies.
Manchester United sure has the £30 million for Tevez, but they
don't know who to give it to.
Manchester United has a deal for Tevez
with West Ham, and the Premier League insists that the money
should go to the Hammers, as they hold Tevez' registration. But
the long-time advisor of Carlos Tevez, Kia Joorabchian, claims
he still owns a controlling right in the Argentinean footballer.
Unless the parties reach a deal, the whole mess will have to go
to Fifa.
Sir Alex Ferguson remains confident that
an agreement will be reached soon, and Tevez will be a Red
Devil, although he decided not to offer a public timescale on
the situation: "I am sure the outcome will be that we will be
taking him. I thought it was going to be done by last weekend.
Everything seemed perfectly okay, so the hold-up must be with
the Premier League."
