Kronus found dead in girlfriend's apartment
Pro wrestler John Kronus
mysterious death in his girlfriend's New Hampshire apartment.
The
34-year-old wrestler John Kronus is another name to added
to the long list of pro wrestlers found dead before the age of
50. According to reports, Kronus was found dead by the police,
after a 911 call, in his girlfriend's apartment in New
Hampshire. Although the cops refrain from calling his dead
suspicious, the young age of John Kronus requires an autopsy and
toxicology report.
According to the police, the call came in
about 3:00 pm on Wednesday in Laconia, N.H. When the police
arrived, they found John Kronus dead, surrounded by neighbours
and his girlfriend. Nothing on the scene looked suspicious to
the police.
John Kronus, whose real name was George
Caiazo, was wrestling for the Extreme Championship
Wrestling (ECW) between the years of 1989 and 2002. During that
time, Kronus became popular as part of the team called the
Eliminators, which split in 1997. John Kronus competed in
singles competition and formed a new team The Gangstanators with
New Jack, which won the ECW Tag Team Championship in 1997. World
Wrestling Inc. purchased the ECW in 2001. And according to some
reports, Kronus also took part in an adult movie, after his
retirement from wrestling.
The untimely death of John Kronus comes
during the week in which the toxicology results of the pro
wrestler Chris Benoit were made public. From the report it was
evident that steroids have been used by Benoit. It is unknown
when the test results of John Kronus will be available.
