Padraig
Harrington could bring the Open to a playoff
An amazing game by Padraig
Harrington at the final round puts pressure on Sergio Garcia.
Padraig
Harrington, who currently sits atop of the British Open
leaderboard could bring the Championship to a playoff, or even
take the win away from Sergio Garcia. Harrington and Garcia are
currently tied for the 1st place, both with 9 under par. Padraig
Harrington is at the 16th and Sergio Garcia at the 14th.
Update: Padraig Harrington is now the leader
after a bogey by Garcia on the 15th.
But what a game today from the Irish
golfer. Total of four birdies so far - 3rd, 6th, 9th, 11th and
an eagle on the 14th, Padraig Harrington is 6 under at the final
round of the British Open. Garcia had three birdies, which he
offset with three bogeys.
Padraig Harrington is an Irish professional
golfer and former No. 6 in the world rankings who has won eleven
tournaments on the European Tour and two on the PGA Tour - Honda
Classic and Barclays Classic in 2005. Padraig Harrington missed
the half way cut at the 2007 U.S. Open, but tied 7th at the
Masters. Another interesting fact is that Padraig is a cousin of
former World Poker Champion Dan Harrington.
