Usher's wedding
with Tameka Foster cancelled
The wedding between the
R&B singer Usher and his fiancée Tameka Foster has been
cancelled.
The
wedding of Usher and Tameka Foster was scheduled to take place
today in L.A., but a last minute change of plans sent the guests
home. Everything was ready for the highly publicized wedding
between the R&B singer Usher and the stylist Tameka Foster, but
the guests received a notice that the event has been cancelled.
The official statement from Usher's
publicist Patti Webster read: "...the wedding ceremony for Usher
Raymond, IV and Tameka Foster was cancelled. No additional
information will be given regarding the circumstances of the
cancellation, but we hope the privacy of this matter will be
respected."
Although an official reason as to why
Usher's wedding was cancelled has not been given, many celebrity
watchers claim that his mother, Jonnetta Patton, may have
something to do with it and that the union between the two was
frowned upon by Patton from the very beginning.
Jonnetta Patton, who has been Usher's
manager for his entire career, was fired by the singer in May of
this year. Usher denied that the termination had anything to do
with the 36-year-old Foster expressing interest in becoming his
manager.
It is unknown if Usher will become a
husband, but it is sure that he will be a father soon. Usher is
expecting a baby from his fiancée Tameka and cancelling their
wedding will not change the fact that soon someone will have to
start buying diapers. The news of Usher's baby was announced in
June, and their plans for a wedding in February. Although this
will be first child for Usher, Tameka Foster already has three
kids from her former husband Noontime Music cofounder Ryan
Glover.
