The threat to quit the Big Brother house became reality as Chanelle walked out the BB8.

Chanelle quits Big Brother 8 The 19-year-old Chanelle kept her word and walked out the Big Brother house. The biggest fan of Posh Spice packed her bags, and despite the efforts of Gerry and the twins to change her mind, the young student demonstratively walked out of the Big Brother house, telling the viewers: "It's not a goodbye - it's a see you later."

Speculations are that Ziggy dumped her the night before and this prompted Chanelle to quit the show on Sunday. It appears that after the emotional conversation between Chanelle and Ziggy, the couple may continue their romance when Ziggy gets out.

Or this could be another trick by the Big Brother 8 producers to bring back some of the audience. The show is currently at its lowest viewing numbers - just over 3.5 million people tune in to watch Big Brother each night.

Whatever the real reason for the departure, Chanelle is out of the house and dealt a blow not only to the fans but t the bookmakers, as well. Until Sunday, Chanelle was one of the favorite to win Big Brother 8 with odds 5/1, as published by the U.K. bookmaker Bet365 (new window). Liam also paid out 5/1 and Brian holds the best odds - 1/2. Chanelle's lover, Ziggy, is still trailing with betting odds on winning the BB8 at 50/1, the bookmakers being confident that him and Chanelle will resume their romance on the outside pretty soon.
