Rory Sabbatini two shots ahead at the Bridgestone Invitational

Two straight rounds of 67 put Rory Sabbatini two shots atop of the leaderboard at the Bridgestone Invitational after the second round.

Rory Sabbatini two shots ahead at the Bridgestone Invitational Great Day 2 for Rory Sabbatini and another 67 for the golfer. He is currently sitting atop of the leaderboard for the World Golf Championships Bridgestone Invitational in Ohio, two shots clear of competition 6-under par.

The South African is working the 70 par golf course, making this tough turf look like a child's play. Rory Sabbatini opened the Firestone with three birdies in a row in Day One, for a total of six birdies, partially offset by 3 bogeys. And Sabbatini managed to improve in Day 2 - five birdies and only two bogeys for another round of 67. The 16th in the world has pocketed almost $3 million this year and is clearly one of the names to consider on your betting card.

Entering the second Round with odds 14/1, as posted by the online gambling company Bodog Sports (new window), Day 3 will see Rory Sabbatini's odd on winning at 7/2. Considering that the Bridgestone Invitational is the tune-up for the upcoming US PGA Championship, Sabbatini presents an opportunity for big bucks, as Bodog has him listed with odds on winning the PGA Championship at 60/1.

Tiger Woods did an even Round 2 game at the Firestone, placing him tied for the 3rd with 2-under par. Ever since the birth of his first child, Tiger Woods has been a little unfocused on the golf course, which seems to work fine for the unconventional bettor. Tiger Woods is the favorite to win both the Bridgestone Invitational with odds 7/4 and the US PGA Championship, listed at 7/2. For the PGA Championship, the next in line by odds is Phil Mickelson at 12/1 - great opportunity for the bettors to finish the golf season on a high note.

Here are the top ten golfers on the leaderboard at the Bridgestone Invitational, after Round 2:

1 Rory Sabbatini -6
2 Zach Johnson -4
T3 Scott Verplank -2
T3 Kenny Perry -2
T3 Tiger Woods -2
T6 Lee Westwood -1
T6 Davis Love III -1
T6 Chris DiMarco -1
T9 Paul Casey E
T9 Justin Leonard E
