Scary Spice managed to keep her marriage with producer Steven Belafonte secret.

Melanie Brown married Steven Belafonte in June Melanie Brown (aka Scary Spice) sure stays in the headlines this month. First, Eddie Murphy admitted to be the father of her baby daughter, after she threatened the actor with legal action. Now we learn from Access Hollywood that Melanie Brown has been married to Steven Belafonte in June, but kept the marriage secret.

The two married in Clark County on June 6th, according to a marriage certificate filed with the country court. Las Vegas is located in Clark County, but the marriage certificate does not show where exactly the ceremony took place.

Steven Belafonte is a movie producer, the latest piece he worked on was the comedy "Thank you for smoking". According to reports, Melanie Brown and long time friend Steven Belafonte started dating around February of this year.

So far the Brown's camp have not officially given a reason why the marriage was kept secret. Meanwhile Scary Spice cancelled her scheduled interview with Larry King due to illness. She was supposed to discuss the paternity issue on the "Larry King Live" yesterday.
