After months of waiting for U.K. football, the Barclays English Premier League openers are today.

English Premier League open for business The long wait for English football is finally over, with Sunderland and Tottenham opening another exiting season of the Barclays English Premier League.

Michael Chopra scored the winning goal for Sunderland for the final 1-0 during injury time, a sweet victory for the fans of Sunderland and a great return of the team to the Premier League. The Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov wasted the few chances the Spurs had, but he was still the most dangerous person for Sunderland. After 90 minutes it seemed the game was going for a draw, but Chopra managed to put one in just before the final whistle and give the victory to Sunderland.
