Carol Paul, Ron
Paul's wife, hospitalized in Iowa
The wife of the GOP
Presidential candidate Ron Paul has been hospitalized yesterday
in Iowa.
Carol
Paul, the wife of the Congressman Ron Paul, was hospitalized in
Iowa on Saturday morning, delaying Ron Paul's appearance at the
Ames Straw Poll, but the latest reports indicate that she will
be released shortly and is making a full recovery.
Ron Paul's camp reports that Carol Paul,
71, was taken to a hospital after complaints of short breath and
low blood pressure. The Texas Congressman Ron Paul, who is also
a medical doctor, is confident that Carol will be fine and her
condition will improve. She was taken to the hospital around
8:00 am on Saturday.
Carol experienced an irregular heartbeat
early this morning. Her heart rate dropped to a dangerously low
rate, and she was taken to the hospital," said Jesse Benton, a
spokesman for the Texas Republican.
The presidential hopeful and his wife
just recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Ron
Paul is listed with odds on winning the 2008 Presidential
Elections 75/1 by
Bodog Sports.
