Michigan without
quarterback Henne for Notre Dame game
The Michigan Wolverines
quarterback Chad Henne will miss the Notre Dame game on Saturday
due to injury.
Yet
another blow for the struggling Michigan Wolverines as the
announcement came that starting quarterback Chad Henne will miss
the game against Notre Dame on Sunday, due to knee injury. Henne
was hurt during the game against Oregon, which Michigan lost
39-7 and did not play in the second half of the college game. At
this point it remains unknown how many games will Chad Henne
miss, head coach Lloyd Carr has listed the senior as
week-to-week.
Henne will be replaced with freshman
Ryan Mallett for the game against Notre Dame. "This test will
be different than any he's had. But I can guarantee you that
he's not intimidated," coach Lloyd Carr encouraged Mallett.
Ryan Mallett finished the second half in the game against
Oregon, threw an interception midway through the third quarter
and finished with six completions in 17 attempts for 49 yards.
Mallet enrolled at Michigan in January from Texas.

Wolverines are set at -315 and the Irish are at +265, as posted
by the online sportsbook
Bookmaker. The point spread for
