Tennessee Titans betting odds
to win
With quarterback Vince
Young no longer a rookie, the Tennessee Titans are looking
forward to the playoffs this football season.
Vince
Young's rookie season is finally behind the quarterback and the
Tennessee Titans, with a little work, are a good candidate for
the playoffs. If Young focuses a little more on the passing and
less on tucking the ball, the last season's 27th offensive
ranking may see improvement. But the lack of a stand-out No. 1
receiver could be tricky for the Titans. Drew Bennett now gone
to St. Louis during the offseason, Brandon Jones, Justin Gage
and David Givens will have to figure a way to make this work.
Travis Henry is off to Denver and the Tennessee Titans running
game will suffer from the lost. The defense, worst overall
ranking in the league last football season, took a blow after
Pacman Jones was slapped with a season-long suspension. Overall,
the Tennessee Titans have a good chance to reach the playoffs,
but this is as far as they could go.
Good game by the Titans in the
preseason. They upset the New England Patriots 27-24 at Gillette
Stadium, Kerry Collins was 8-for-12 for 96 yards and a
touchdown, while Bo Scaife caught three passes for 69 yards for
the Titans. Vince Young took part in two touchdowns in the third
week of preseason, leading the Tennessee Titans to a 28-17 win
over the Buffalo Bills at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Young was
13-for-19 for 162 yards and one touchdown, while running for
another score. Roydell Williams caught four passes for 68 yards
for the Titans. And Vince Young threw for a touchdown and ran
for another as the Tennessee Titans defeated the Green Bay
Packers 30-14 in their final preseason game. Young completed
11-of-16 pass attempts for 96 yards, and Chris Davis returned a
punt 70 yards for a touchdown for the Titans.
The preseason football did little to
improve the betting odds on the Tennessee Titans, who remain
underdog for the Super Bowl next year. Here is the list of the betting odds on the
