Playoffs:
Baltimore Ravens vs. New England Patriots odds, spread
At the beginning of the season not many people would've
guessed that the Baltimore Ravens would be contenders for a
Super Bowl spot, other than their fans, of course, but following
the overtime victory against the Broncos in the playoffs, the
Ravens will now face the New England Patriots for the coveted
AFC Champion title. And with a record of just 10-6 during
regular season, the Ravens are one of the reasons why the
playoffs are so much more exciting. But if we look at the
bookmakers' odds on this playoff game, there would be no
Cinderella story this year, at least according to the
sportsbooks.
Starting with the betting odds on this
AFC Championship game, at
Bookmaker the Baltimore Ravens odds
to win the Sunday game are at a very distant +315, while the
Patriots are the top favorite among the teams this weekend with
odds -375. The popular online sportsbook
Bovada has better odds
on the favorite, listing the New England Patriots with odds
-360, while the Ravens would pay out only on +280 at this
bookie, if they manage to deliver the upset. We should also
mention that Bookmaker has the odds on the Patriots at
+105 to win the Super Bowl 2013, and will be the last time you
would see the favorite with + odds, so take advantage of those,
if you plan on betting the Super Bowl this year on the Pats (or
any of the four remaining teams at this time). The total on the
Ravens - Pats game at Bookmaker is expected at 51 points while
the one at Bovada Sports is at 51.5 points and the over is
paying at -115.
The Baltimore Ravens vs New England
Patriots point spread is currently at -8 chalk the Patriots
at Bookmaker and the whopping -10 at Bovada, giving bettors
plenty of options this weekend, considering that the point
spread will be the most bet on option in the Ravens Patriots
game, as well as the other playoff game remaining (see bottom
link for odds preview). If you are betting the spread, keep in
mind that Baltimore is 2-4-2 against the spread in its last 8
games when playing on the road against New England and the
Patriots are 2-3-1 against the spread in its last 6 games when
playing the Ravens.
