leaves Chelsea, reason undisclosed
Jose Mourinho quits, the
manager of Chelsea has surprisingly left the football club,
reason for the decision has not yet been given.
After
a 1-1 draw against Rosenborg, another blow to Chelsea came today
in the form of the resignation of manager Jose Mourinho. The
4-season manager of the Blues has agreed to part ways with the
club by mutual consent, but the exact reason for the Mourinho's
decision was not officially given to the media. It became known
that Jose Mourinho has sent text messages to the senior players
of Chelsea informing them of his departure.
In 2005 Mourinho signed a five-year deal
with Chelsea and early this year he waived rumours of an that he
would leave Stamford Bridge in the summer.
After signing with Chelsea in 2004, Jose
Mourinho led the team to two consecutive Premiership titles.
Last season they finished runners-up to Manchester United but
won both the FA Cup and Carling Cup. His career with Chelsea got
Mourinho voted as Premiership manager of the year in 2005 and
2006. But this football season Chelsea is sitting fifth on the
Premiership table, and once a favorite to win the Premiership
title, Chelsea is currently listed with odds 5/2 to win Barclays
Premier League 07/08 by
