NFL point spread: Saints vs. Seahawks, Oakland at San Diego

The last two games from our NFL Week 6 spread and odds preview are the matchups between the New Orleans Saints vs. The Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders vs. the San Diego Chargers.

NFL point spread: Saints vs. Seahawks, Oakland at San Diego On Sunday the Oakland Raiders (2-2) will visit the San Diego Chargers (2-3) in what seems to be a guaranteed win for the Chargers, despite the worse record this season. The betting site Bookmaker has listed the San Diego Chargers as the ultimate favorite with odds -475 and the Raiders are underdog +395. The point spread for the Oakland Raiders vs. San Diego Chargers game is sitting at -9.5 points chalk San Diego and the total is posted at 44 points.

Lets take a look at what the two teams are bringing to the field on Sunday. Probably the best tool for the Chargers in this game will be head coach Norv Turner, who was with the Raiders in 2004 and 2005 and should help the Chargers prepare better for the matchup. San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers finally woke up last week and performed on a level expected from the 26-year-old QB, killing the Broncos 41-3. Rivers should be able to improve his record when he faces the 26th ranked defense of the Raiders. Running back LaDainian Tomlinson and WR Vincent Jackson will compliment the Chargers' offense.

The Oakland Raiders are not doomed in this AFC West battle. QB Daunte Culpepper will get a second start, after replacing injured starter Josh McCown against Miami in Week 4, passing for 2 touchdowns for the Raiders 35-17 victory. Adding some points to the total score won't be a problem as the 9th-ranked Oakland offense will meet the 22nd overall of the Chargers. The most likely target of Culkpepper will again be WR Jerry Porter, however, running back LaMont Jordan is still questionable for Week 6, with back injury against Miami, after missing practice on Wednesday.

Stats show that Oakland is 2-7 against the spread in its last 9 games, but 4-2 ATS in its last 6 games on the road. San Diego is 2-6 against the spread in its last 8 games and 7-1 ATS in its last 8 games when playing Oakland. The total has gone UNDER in 5 of San Diego's last 5 games when playing Oakland.

And the last game on Sunday we are looking into is the New Orleans Saints (0-40 against the Seattle Seahawks (3-2). The Saints will attempt first victory this season when they visit Seattle this weekend, but Bookmaker gives them no chance with odds +240, having the Seahawks favorite with betting line of -290. The point spread for New Orleans Saints vs. Seattle Seahawks is favoring the Seahawks -9.5 points and the total is set down at 42.5 points.

Reggie bush put a good work for the Saints last game against the Panthers but almost all the punters are expecting a 0-5 out of this game. New Orleans quarterback Drew Bees is 112 from 177 with 929 yards but will be no match to Hasselbeck's 90.5 rating with 1148 yards. New Orleans is 0-5 against the spread in its last 5 games and 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Seattle. The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Seattle's last 7 games when playing New Orleans. Overall many expect a Seahawks victory by a few points.
