Monday Night
Football: Colts vs. Jaguars spread and odds
Week 7 Monday night football
preview of the point spread and betting odds on Indianapolis
Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars.
In
our last betting preview of the NFL Week 7 we will look into the
spread and odds on the Monday night football game between the
Indianapolis Colts (5-0) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-1). At
the online odds maker
Bodog Sports the Colts are the
favorite to win the game with a line of -175 and the Jaguars are
underdog at +155. The point spread on the Indianapolis Colts vs.
Jacksonville Jaguars is posted at -3.5 points chalk the Colts
with total set at 44.5 points.
The Jaguars are coming out of a four
game winning streak but will face the though Colts, who remain
unbeaten along with the Pats. Indianapolis has an old score to
settle with Jacksonville, after the Jags whopped them 44-17 last
year. Payton Manning is in great shape, helping the Colts to 3rd
ranked offense in the league with 402.8 yards and 32.8 points on
average. But the Jaguars aren't far back with 7th overall
offense in NFL with 355.2 yards and 20 points per game. And
defensively the two teams are close to each other, but the Colts
will face the second best NFL defense by points allowed - only
11.6 on average per game, which could explain the low spread on
the game. Keep in mind, however, that for Jacksonville DEs
Reggie Hayward and Paul Spicer are only probable, Brent Hawkins
remains questionable and Brian Smith is out. On the Indianapolis
side questionable for Week 7 remain LBs Gary Brackett and Victor
Worsley, as well as receiver Marvin Harrison.
Betting trends show that Indianapolis is
7-2 against the spread in its last 9 games, but 1-4 ATS in its
last 5 games when playing Jacksonville. The Jaguars are 8-4
against the spread in their last 12 games at home and the total
has gone OVER in 5 of Jacksonville's last 6 games when playing
at home against Indianapolis.
