NFL in London -
New York Giants vs. Miami Dolphins
The NFL is going global on
Sunday with the Week 8 football game between the New York Giants
and the Miami Dolphins in London, England.
Well,
folks, NFL is going international this week with the matchup
between the New York Giants and the Miami Dolphins taking place
at the new Wembley stadium in London, England. As a part of the
new NFL strategy to promote the sport overseas, the league has
promised two games a season to be played outside of the United
States starting next year. But this season it's the New York
Giants (5-2) and the "host" Miami Dolphins (0-7), live from
London, England. The point spread on the New York Giants vs.
Miami Dolphins game is currently favoring the Giants -10 points
and the total is sitting at 48 points at
Bodog Sports. NY Giants are 5-0
against the spread in their last 5 games and Miami is 1-4-2
against the spread in its last 7 games.
It's quite possible the Giants will cover
the spread, even without some important players, such as RB
Derrick Ward, who missed Wednesday practice along with WR
Plaxico Burress. Miami are in even worse shape, DTs Vonnie
Holliday and Keith Traylor, TE David Martin and LB Zach Thomas
all missed practice on Wednesday. There will be no real home
advantage for the Dolphins this week and longer flight means
worse jet lag. Overall, the Dolphins were robbed from the little
advantage they could have had against the Giants and the -10
spread looks very good.
