College Football
Point Spread: Virginia Tech vs. Georgia Tech
Week 10 of college football
starts on Thursday with Virginia Tech vs. Georgia Tech, we look
at the point spread and odds on the game.
College
football Week 10 is near and what a better way to open the week
than the matchup between the No.11 Virginia Tech (6-2) and
Georgia Tech (5-3). At the online betting company
Bookmaker the
Yellow Jackets are coming out a favorite on Thursday with odds
on winning the game at -150 and the Hokies are dog in their
visit to Georgia with odds +130. The point spread on the
Virginia Tech vs. Georgia Tech is currently favoring the GA Tech
-2.5 points and the total is sitting at 41 points. Virginia Tech
is 12-3 against the spread in its last 15 games on the road and
Georgia Tech is 2-3-1 against the spread in its last 6 games.
Virginia Tech will come out strong on the
field, after losing their last game against the No.2 Boston
College last week, leading by 10 points until the last quarter,
but a touchdown by Boston College in the final seconds of the
game made for a very bad night at Lane Stadium. Despite the
loss, the Hokies are in excellent shape and the Week 10 visit to
Georgia Tech may go against the bookies. Tyrod Taylor is still
day-to-day, but he will likely play. There are no new injuries
to report in Virginia Tech, but Georgia Tech is not in good
shape. The Yellow Jackets ran over Army last week for a 10-34
victory, but Army returned the favor by leaving Georgia Tech
without two running backs for Week 10 - Rashaun Grant got hurt
during the game and is out indefinitely and Tashard Choice had
surgery last week. OTs Jacob Lonowski and Nate McManus remain
questionable for the Week 10 game with Virginia Tech. Georgia
Tech had a statistical advantage only at the total offense with
400.1 yards on average per game, compared to the Hokies 308.5
yards, but with the number of experienced running backs
decreasing, Virginia Tech has a great chance to go for 7-2.
