Football: Ravens vs. Steelers spread and odds
Betting preview and point
spread for the Monday night football game between the Baltimore
Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers.
The
NFL Week 9 will close on Monday night with the football game
between the Baltimore Ravens (4-3) and the Pittsburgh
Steelers (5-2). When these two teams met last year, the
Ravens ran over the Steelers 31-7, but this season will be a
different story. At the online bookmaker
Bodog Sports the Steelers are
listed favorite to win the game with odds -480 and the Ravens
are the ultimate underdog with odds +340. The point spread
for the Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game is
currently favoring the Steelers -10 points with total at 36.5
points. Betting trends indicate that Baltimore is 1-7 against
the spread in its last 8 games, but 5-1 ATS in its last 6 games
when playing the Steelers. Pittsburgh is 6-2 against the spread
in its last 8 games and the total has gone OVER in 5 of
Pittsburgh's last 6 games when playing at home against
Baltimore.
The Ravens will have some serious staff
issues with many of the top player being a game decision,
starting with quarterback Steve McNair, DT Trevor Pryce, TE
Quinn Sypniewski and LB Antwan Barnes. TE Todd Heap remains
questionable and CB Chris McAlister will likely miss the game.
At Pittsburgh, only defensive end Aaron Smith remains doubtful
for the Week 9 game. Overall, the Steelers have all the tools to
win the game and cover the -10 points spread.
