Hulk Hogan's son,
Nick Bollea, arrested in car crash investigation
Nick Bollea, son of the former
pro wrestler Hulk Hogan, has been arrested in connection with
the accident earlier this year.
The
police in Clearwater, Fl. has arrested Nick Bollea, son of the
famous pro wrestler Hulk Hogan and co-star of the "Hogan Knows
Best" TV reality show. The arrest stems from the car crash
caused by Nick Bollea on August 26th of this year, which left
injured the passenger in his car, John Graziano.
The 17-year-old
Hogan was driving his Toyota Supra at high speeds before hitting
a median, according to witnesses and an investigation has been
ongoing since the crash. On Wednesday Nick Bollea was booked and
charged with reckless driving causing serious bodily injury, a
3rd-degree felony, which could lend him a maximum sentence of
five years in prison. He is being charged as an adult. According
to the police, Nick Bollea was racing with another car, the
driver of that car, 22-year-old Daniel Jacobs, has also been
summoned for reckless driving.
While the investigation was on, old
traffic violations came to light. Records show that Nick Hogan
has been ticketed twice already for speeding, once for doing 106
in a 70 mph an another time for 82 in a 45 mph zone (considering
that police usually cuts slack, when issuing speeding tickets).
"Nick and the entire 'Hogan' Bollea family are saddened that
criminal charges have been filed in regards to the tragic single
car accident on August 26, 2007. Nick will meet and answer these
charges in the appropriate arena - a court of law," was the
official statement by the Hogan family.
