Casino implosion set for Tuesday
The latest casino implosion on
the Las Vegas Strip will be on Tuesday as New Frontier Casino
goes to dust.
The
New Frontier Casino, the first themed casino on the Las Vegas
Strip, is set for implosion on Tuesday at 2p.m., according to
the organizers of the event. The casino opened its doors in
1942, under the name "Last Frontier" and it was where Elvis
Presley performed in Las Vegas for the first time in 1956. The
site of the casino will be used for the building of the new $2
billion Plaza casino resort, planned by IDB Group and Elad
Group, the Israeli owners of the Plaza Hotel in New York City.
Thousands are expected to flood the Strip and witness the
implosion of the casino, fireworks show is planed as well.
