Casino set to open on December 18th
Casino operator MGM Mirage and
Pansy Ho schedule the opening of their Macau casino on December
18th.
The
first Macau casino by MGM Grand Paradise Ltd., joint venture
between the world's second largest casino operator, MGM Mirage
(NYSE: MGM), and Pansy Ho, daughter of Hong Kong billionaire
Stanley Ho, is set to open its doors on December 18th of 2007.
The new MGM Grand Macau casino will offer to its patrons 600
rooms, 900 slot machines and 375 gambling tables and carries a
price tag of $1.25 billion. The new casino will employ more than
6,000 people and will feature botanical garden called Grand Praca.
MGM Grand Paradise Ltd. is also working
with the local government on a second casino in Macau, on an
area known as the Cotai Strip.
