College football polls: BCS Standings and AP Top 25 after Week 12

The latest college football polls after Week 12, including the BCS Standings and the AP Top 25.

College football polls: BCS Standings and AP Top 25 after Week 12 After the Week 12 of college football, there is plenty of shifting at the college football polls, but one thing remains a common denominator - LSU. Starting with the AP Top 25 college football poll, LSU still leads the pack at the No.1 spot, during a weekend full of upsets. But LSU won the game against Mississippi 41-24 and remains atop of the AP Top 25. At No.2 on the AP Top 25 poll is Kansas, who had no problem at home against Iowa State. Third is Missouri and 4th is West Virginia, who did a number on the then-21st Cincinnati, now down to No.24 in the ranking. Ohio State climbed back to No.5 after 14-3 win over the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday. Here are the rest of the college football teams on the AP Top 25 poll: 6. Georgia; 7. Arizona State; 8. Virginia Tech; 9. Oregon; 10. Oklahoma; 11. USC; 12. Florida; 13. Texas; 14. Hawaii; 15. Boston College; 16. Virginia; 17. Boise State; 18. Illinois; 19. Tennessee; 20. Connecticut; 21. Clemson; 22. Wisconsin; 23. Brigham Young; 24. Cincinnati; 25. Auburn.

Now let's look at the BCS Standings after Week 12, where things are getting quite interesting. Atop of the BCS Standings is LSU and No.2 is the unbeaten Kansas, and the BCS national championship between these two teams is looking more and more promising. There is little chance for another team to catch up without LSU or Kansas losing a game, but the chance does exist. Kansas is up to the second spot on the BCS Standings after beating a weak opponent, but Oregon and Oklahoma opened the path by losing their Week 12 games, Oregon upset by Arizona 24-34 and Oklahoma losing to Texas Tech 27-34. The West Virginia Mountaineers also took advantage of the upsets to move from No.6 to the No.3 position on the BCS Standings. Missouri went up one spot to No.4 and Ohio State is at the fifth spot at this college football ranking, as well. Here are the rest of the college football teams, that made it to the BCS Standings after Week 12: 6. Arizona State; 7. Georgia; 8. Virginia Tech; 9. Oregon; 10. Oklahoma; 11. USC; 12. Florida; 13. Texas; 14. Boston College; 15. Hawaii; 16. Virginia; 17. Illinois; 18. Tennessee; 19. Boise State; 20. Connecticut; 21. Wisconsin; 22. Clemson; 23. South Florida; 24. Cincinnati; 25. BYU.
