X Factor:
Beverley Trotman voted off by public
On the "X Factor" public
results vote off Beverley Trotman, girl group Hope avoids
elimination once again.
The
girl group "Hope" could turn into the worst nightmare of the
British bookmakers, after they survived "X Factor" elimination,
facing it for the third straight time. Beverley Trotman and Hope
ended up at the bottom two last night, but the judges' votes
tied for the first time and who's going home had to be decided
by the popular vote. Beverley sang the "Without You", and Hope
did the Christina Aguilera hit "Hope". Their mentors naturally
voted for each of their singers, Dannii Minogue voted to
eliminate Hope, but Sharon Osbourne supported the girl group and
tied the judges. "I'm not sure if people will understand why
I've made this decision," said Shannon, who voted last week
against Hope. At the end, Beverley Trotman got the least votes
from the X Factor viewers and was eliminated from the show and
we are down to only five contestants now.
"I've sung great songs for the past six
weeks and I think I've sung them really well, to the point that
every megastar that's come onto the show, when they've been
asked who was your favorite, they've all said my name. I can't
ask for more than that," said Beverley Trotman after the X
Factor results were in and vowed to anything to keep her dream
of become a star alive.
This week's X Factor controversy is
revolving around the surviving group Hope, after accusations
that they are receiving special treatment from producers.
According to some publications in the British press, Hope have
been given extra rehearsal time with choreographer Brian
Friedman and the show's vocal coach. This has not been proven
yet, but was posted in the Daily Star Sunday, citing an insider.
Eliminated Beverley Trotman was listed
at the bottom of the odds table at the U.K. licensed online
bookmaker
Bet 365 with odds on winning
the show at 12/1. Last week, Hope was listed as the underdog to
win X Factor with odds 14/1 and remains at the bottom after
yesterday's show, now with odds 33/1. If Hope continues to dodge
the bullet, the bookies could be in serious trouble. Rhydian
Roberts, however, is still the favorite, with odds slashed this
weekend from 1/2 all the way to 2/7. Here is the complete list
of betting odds on the X Factor, as posted by
Bet 365:
Rhydian Roberts - 2/7
Niki Evans - 6/1
Same Difference - 15/2
Leon Jackson - 10/1
