Celtic makes the
Champions league, Inzaghi breaks record
Despite losing to AC Milan
tonight, Celtic made it to the final 16 in the Uefa Champions
league.
Filippo
Inzaghi was the lone goal scorer in the Celtic's defeat by AC
Milan (1-0), making him the record holder for the most scored in
Uefa competitions, but Gordon Strachan's boys continue to the
next stage of the Champions League. Inzaghi had earlier missed a
glaring chance, while Kaka was denied a late goal by a great
Evander Sno block. But 70 minutes into the game, Filippo Inzaghi
finally found the net from a close range for the final score of
1-0. Celtic's Scott Brown was booked after exchanging words with
Seedorf and will miss the next game.
The British sportsbook
Bet365 has now posted Celtic
with the odds on winning the Champions League sitting at 80/1.
Barcelona is still the favorite to win the Uefa competition with
odds 4/1, followed by Manchester United at 11/2, Inter Milan,
Chelsea and Arsenal all sharing 8/1 odds to win the Champions
League.
