Wolverines talk to coach Greg Schiano
The Michigan Wolverines
athletic director Bill Martin has met with Rutgers coach Greg
Schiano.
According to reports coming out of New Jersey, Michigan's AD
Bill Martin has met with the Rutgers coach Greg Schiano to
discuss the job opening at the Wolverines. According to The
Star-Ledger of Newark, Greg Schiano's agent, Bryan Harlin, has
asked the Rutgers athletic director Robert Mulcahy for a
permission to meet with the Michigan Wolverines. Other reports
in the NJ press also suggest that the Rutgers AD is aware of a
meeting between Michigan and Greg Schiano. At this point
Michigan has not made an official offer to Schiano, although
reports claim that the two sides met Tuesday night in New York
during the College Football Hall of Fame banquet at a midtown
Manhattan hotel.
Update: Greg Schiano
has declined Michigan's offer.
Michigan continues to search for Carr
replacement, after LSU coach Les Miles signed a contract
extension to stay with the Tigers.
