NFL point spread and
odds: Atlanta at Tampa Bay, Bills vs. Browns
The betting odds and point
spread on the NFL Week 15 games Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa Bay
Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns.
The
Sunday NFL Week 15 matchup between the Atlanta Falcons
(3-10) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-5) holds the
second biggest point spread for this football week, but this
would hardly shock anyone. Considering the poor performance of
the team under Petrino and other than his surprising resignation
before the end of season, the Falcons have little to smile
about. There is a small chance that the "cowardly" decision by
the former head coach would motivate the Falcons to prove they
are not as hopeless as everyone else thinks, but Atlanta would
have better chance of winning in the final two games than
against the Buccaneers on Sunday. Tampa Bay is looking to clinch
the NFC South on home turf and will hardly miss a beat this
weekend, keep in mind the Buccaneers already beat the Falcons in
November 33-7. The point spread on the Atlanta Falcons vs.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers is currently sitting at -14 points
chalk the Buccaneers at the online sportsbook
Bodog Sports, with total posted
at 39 points. At
Bookmaker the odds on the
Falcons are dog +650 and the Buccaneers are favorite with
betting odds -950. Atlanta is 1-4 against the spread in its last
5 games and Tampa Bay is 4-1 against the spread in its last 5
games.
The game between the Buffalo Bills
(7-6) and the Cleveland Browns (8-5), on the other side,
has much more in stake, with the winner of the Sunday matchup
greatly improving their chances of getting to the playoffs. With
games against Giants and Eagles coming after, the Bills must
take the victory on Sunday to stay relevant in the playoff
berth. The odds makers, however, are taking the Browns over the
Bills this weekend. At Bodog Sports the point spread on the
Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns game is favoring the
Browns -6 points with total at 43.5 points. The odds on the
Bills to win the game at Bookmaker sit at +205 and the Browns
hold favorite odds -245.
Both teams will matchup on Sunday with
defensive issues. For the Buffalo Bills, Wednesday practice
missed defensive ends Copeland Bryan, Ryan Denney and Chris
Kelsay, as well as safety George Wilson. And Wednesday practice
in the Cleveland Browns camp missed DEs Orpheus Roye and Robaire
Smith, as well as LBs Willie McGinest and Antwan Peek, wide
receiver Joe Jurevicius and running back Lawrence Vickers. Keep
in mind that Buffalo is 8-2 against the spread in its last 10
games and Cleveland is 7-1 against the spread in its last 8
games.
