Cat Fight: Anchor
Alycia Lane arrested for punching a cop
Philadelphia CBS anchor Alycia
Lane has been arrested in New York for punching a female cop in
the face.
Everyone
knows that Philly is one of the toughest cities in America, and
on Sunday this was yet again proved, after the local CBS 3
anchor Alycia Lane was arrested in New York for hitting a female
police officer in the face. According to reports, Alycia Lane,
along with beau Q102 morning host Chris Booker and another
couple, were riding in a taxi cab in New York, when one of the
male occupants jumped out of the cab to "speed up" a slow moving
car in front of them. It turned out that the car was actually an
unmarked police vehicle, but this fact made no difference to the
Philadelphia anchor. According to Philadelphia Weekly, Alycia
Lane screamed at the police officer "I don't give a f--- who
you are, I'm a f---ing TV reporter, you f---ing dyke" and
then allegedly punched the cop in the face, when she was asked
to step back.
New York City police spokesman Sgt. Carlos
Nieves said that the officer suffered laceration wounds to her
face and Alycia Lane was booked and charged with one count of
assault with intent to cause physical injury to an officer. Lane
was later released with no bail, hearing of the case is
scheduled for April 3rd. At this point Alycia Lane's future with
CBS remains unknown.
