Amy Winehouse
arrested in evidence tampering scam
Singer Amy Winehouse has been
arrested for questioning in her involvement in hubby's Blake
Fielder-Civil's assault case.
Brit
singer Amy Winehouse has been arrested on Monday by the London
police in relation to the evidence-tampering, stemming from
Blake Fielder-Civil's assault case. The arrest was made so the
police could formally question Winehouse. She arrived at the
police station voluntary and provided fingerprints and DNA
samples. Scotland Yard released the following statement "A
24-year-old woman has been arrested by appointment at an East
London police station. She is currently in custody. The arrest
was made in connection with an investigation into perverting the
course of justice." Under British law, the police cannot
name a suspect, which has not been charged with a crime. Some
media reports in the U.K. press suggest that the Amy Winehouse
questioning is related to her finances, rather than her
husband's assault and evidence tampering cases.
Odds were already posted on Amy Winehouse
at the online bookmaker
Bodog Sports, but at this time
is unclear if the bets will be "no action". Two of the betting
props on Amy Winehouse were the favorite "getting arrested for
DUI or Possession" with odds 5/6, followed by "Husband Blake
Fielder gets sentenced to jail time" with odds 2/1.
