Not much riding on this game but prestige and a chance for the Lions to improve their record, after a great season start and then losing 6 games in a row. Considering last week's 14-51 loss to the Chargers, the Lions need this win to save face this season, and what better opponent than the struggling Kansas City. And for the first time in a while, the Lions are entering the game favorite. At Bodog the point spread on the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Detroit Lions is posted at -5 points chalk the Lions and the total is sitting at 43.5 points. At bookmaker the betting line on the Detroit Lions is -230 and the line on the Kansas City Chiefs is set at +190. Betting trends show that Detroit is 1-5 against the spread in its last 6 games and Kansas City is 1-6 against the spread in its last 7 games. Also, the total has gone OVER in 5 of Detroit's last 6 games when playing Kansas City.
