- the matchup between the Dallas Cowboys (12-2) and the
Carolina Panthers (6-8). When these two football teams
met last year, the Cowboys ran over the Panthers 35-14 and a
similar result is expected this Saturday by the odds makers.

Whether the "Ruin Romo" initiative (see
links below) will have any effect is yet to be seen, but one
thing is for sure - the bookies are going with the 'Boys, who
despite losing 10-6 to the Eagles last week still managed to
clinch the NFC East title and secure the playoff spot. The
Panthers, meanwhile, still have a remote and pretty much
statistical chance of getting a playoff spot this season, listed
with the underdog odds 300/1 on winning the Super Bowl at Bodog.
Not to mention that beating the Cowboys is always great for the
team's moral. At Dallas, quarterback Tony Romo did a full
Thursday practice, after right thumb injury, along with TE
Anthony Fasano and DE Chris Canty. Wide receiver Terry Glenn is
still questionable for the Saturday game, after a limited
Thursday practice. At the Panthers camp, quarterback Vinny
Testaverde, defensive end Julius Peppers, safety Chris Harris
and wide receiver Keary Colbert all missed Thursday practice.
Keep in mind that Dallas is 6-2 against the spread in its last 8
games on the road and Carolina is 2-6 against the spread in its
last 8 games. The total has gone OVER in 4 of Carolina's last 5
games when playing at home against Dallas.
