Mischa Barton arrested, Rebecca De Mornay charged
Mischa Barton was arrested for
DUI and marijuana possession and Rebecca De Mornay was charged
on Thursday.
Thursday has been a busy day for the L.A. cops, as far as
DUIs are concerned. First it was reported that actress Mischa
Barton was arrested in West Hollywood Thursday morning on
charges of drunken driving and marijuana possession. According
to the police, the 21-year-old actress attracted the cops when
she was spotted weaving between two lanes and failing to use
turn signal. "During Ms. Barton's detention, it was
determined that she was an unlicensed driver and was driving
while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage," was the
official report of the incident, but the police also said that
Mischa Barton was suspected to be in possession of marijuana and
an unidentified controlled substance. She was later released on
$10,000 bail and is due in court on February 28th.
Meanwhile "Risky Business" actress Rebecca
De Mornay was facing court on Thursday and was charged with one
count of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and one
count of driving with a blood alcohol level above the legal
limit of .08, stemming from her arrest two months ago. Rebecca
De Mornay was booked at the end of October, when a police
officer smelled alcohol on her breath, after she was pulled over
for a traffic violation. Failing numerous field sobriety tests,
it was found that her blood alcohol level was .09. Rebecca De
Mornay will be arraigned on December 31st.
