NFL playoffs:
Cowboys and Patriots still favorite for the Super Bowl
A few days before the start of
the divisional playoffs, odds are still favoring the Dallas
Cowboys and the New England Patriots to meet at the Super Bowl.
This
weekend is the start of the NFL divisional playoff games and we
will take a look at the updated future odds on the eight
football teams left in the chase for the Super Bowl title. At
the online sportsbook
Bodog Sports, the most likely
teams at the 2008 Super Bowl game remains the matchup between
the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots. The Cowboys are
the ultimate favorite to win the NFC Championship with odds
sitting at 4/5 and the Patriots are listed with betting odds 4/9
to win the AFC title. The New England Patriots, however, remain
the undisputed favorite to win the 2008 Super Bowl with odds 2/3
at the bookmaker.
The Green Bay Packers are the second most
likely team to win the NFC title, entering the divisional
playoffs, the odds on the Packers to become the NFC Champion are
posted at 37/20. The Seattle Seahawks come third with odds on
winning the division at 6/1 and the New York Giants are now the
underdog with odds 34/5. The odds on winning the Super Bowl have
the Giants at 20/1 and the Seattle Seahawks are the underdog
with odds 25/1. By the Super Bowl future odds, however, the
Indianapolis Colts still edge the Green Bay Packers. The odds on
the Colts to win the Super Bowl are sitting at 5/1, compared
with the Packers 6/1. The Colt are 3/1 to win the AFC
Championship, followed by the Jacksonville Jaguars at 7/1 and
the San Diego Chargers with underdog odds 8/1.
