After only two weeks of marriage actor Eddie Murphy and producer Tracey Edmonds are splitting up.

According to People magazine, Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds are splitting up, after only two weeks into their marriage. The magazine claims that following their wedding on Bora Bora, the couple began immediately arguing and have decided to part.

"After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forgo having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further. While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends." was the official statement Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds came out with today. According to other reports in the media, the main reason for the split was an argument over the bride's last name - Tracey Edmonds refused to take Eddie Murphy's last name, an argument some say started even before the wedding ceremony.
